About

Children's Ministry

Welcome to MCBC’s Children’s Ministry, where we explore who God is through the eyes of our children!

Our goal is to walk alongside families with children as they live out their faith in their everyday lives. We do this through a variety of programs both on Sundays and also throughout the week, and through providing families with resources that they can use at home and outside of the church.

Annual Activity

Summer Camp

Every summer, Children's Ministry holds summer camps where we do a number of different activities like singing, arts and crafts, games, and exploring the Bible. We invite our Grades 1-6's to join us as we make new friends, discover more of who God is, and have lots of fun while doing it!

2021 Summer+ camp is full. Thank you for all who registered. Looking forward to seeing you at camp!

Be our Guest! Come join us as we taste and see that God is good!

This year, Markham Chinese Baptist Church will host two separate camps for children from Grades 1-6 (as of September 2022). One will be entirely online, and one will be entirely in person. We request that you only register your child for either online or in-person camp, and not both, as space is limited.

Summer+ (ONLINE): Registration Open
July 11, 2022 - July 22, 2022
Grades 1-6: 1:00pm-3:00pm

Cost: $50/child

VBC (IN PERSON): *Registration is now full

Grade 1 to 3
July 12 – 30 (10:00am – 12noon, Monday to Friday)
August 9 – 27 (10:00am – 12noon, Monday to Friday)

Grade 4 to 6
July 12 – 30 (1:00pm – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday)
August 9 – 27 (1:00pm – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday)

* The content for both sessions of each cohort is the same; each participant only picks one of the sessions.

Fee
Camp fee $20 will all be used to meet the camp expenses. Campers are required to prepare their own craft materials including scissors, color crayons, glue and tape. In addition, craft paper, glitter, styrofoam, strings. List of materials will be sent to parents a week before the commencement of the camp. Alternatively, parents can order a material pack from us with an addition of $30. Parents will be informed of the pick up arrangement before the camp start.

This year, camp will run online via Zoom in a similar format as last year, although instead of running camp for the full four weeks of each month, we have opted to do three weeks of each month in order to best prepare for each session. Each month there will be one camp session with two age-specific cohorts. The content for both sessions will be the same.

Summer+ 2021 registration is now closed. Thank you to all who registered. Looking forward to seeing you at camp!
